For 10 January 2007, Co-Extra has organised the first event in a Europe-wide series of national stakeholder dialogues on co-existence and traceability. The French research organisation and Co-Extra partner INRA will be hosting the meeting in Versailles; Co-Extra partner Adriant organises the event. These dialogues are intended to assist Co-Extra researchers in meeting stakeholder needs.
Organised by Adriant, the Co-Extra partner in charge of focus groups in France, a meeting between representatives of French stakeholders' organisations will be held on January 10th at the INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research, Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique) research center of Versailles. In discussion groups, the participants will identify the most pressing challenges for the co-existence of genetically modified, conventional and organic food and feed supply chains.
During the next months, further national stakeholder workshops will take place in Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain and the UK. In a common report, the results will be presented to the public and used to give feedback to Co-Extra researchers.
