With nearly twelve years since the first genetically modified crop was commercially grown, agricultural biotechnology remains contentious and as a result, limited in its scope and scale. This begs the question, what does the future hold for agricultural biotechnology?

Topics of this conference are:

  • Who benefited from biotechnology? Reassessing past impacts of biotechnology
  • Future demand for agricultural products produced by biotechnology
  • Farmers’ demand for biotechnology
  • Impact of government investments, policies and regulations on future demand for technology
