Implementation of national co-existence measures
To help member states develop national frameworks for co-existence, the Commission adopted, on 23 July 2003, a recommendation on guidelines for the development of national strategies and best practices. Most member states are still developing national approaches; some have already adopted co-existence legislation. Here you can air your views on the structuring of reliable measures.

OPACSA software: feedback, questions and ideas
The statistical software OPACSA is a valuable tool to reduce considerably the costs for the control of GMOs. Stakeholders can use the program free of charge and the source code is public as well, which allows the free adaptation of the software to different needs. As noted in the guidelines, the programme is referred to at the Agency for the Protection of Programmes (APP) and is distributed under the Artistic license (http://www.opensource.org/licenses/ artistic-license.php). We would like to discuss the software with you and to learn more from your experience and ideas. Do you have any questions regarding the software, would you like to leave feedback, or do you want to discuss potential enhancements? Let us know in the forum and post your request here!

Traceability of GM products
New rules covering traceability and labelling of GMOs and derived products (EC 1830/2003 and EC 1829/2003) became legally binding for all member states on 18 April 2004. Traceability provides the means to trace products containing, or produced from, GMOs through the production and distribution chains. How are these regulations affecting the food and feed chains in practice? Do they increase trust of consumers in the EU regulatory system? Do they cause higher costs? Here you can discuss challenges, benefits or handicaps of the EU traceability system.
