GM farming:

The term GM farming applies to any cultivation system growing genetically modified organisms, and usually describes the cultivation of GM crops. Since both conventional and organic farming practices do not allow the use of GMOs, the introduction of GM crops in agriculture has led to the need for co-existence measures and regulations.

Farmers plant GM crops in the hope of improving pest management. Worldwide, GM crops grew on 90 million hectares in 2005.
