Freedom of choice:

Possibility to choose between GM and GM-free products

Maintaining freedom of choice is the basic idea behind co-existence and traceability. The European Union supports freedom of choice for farmers and consumers to choose whether or not to grow, and buy, genetically modified organisms and foods. Ensuring this freedom necessitates the separation of different productions systems, from seed production to the grocery store, as well as the labelling of all products and materials containing GMOs as such.
