Labelling:

Written information about genetically modified ingredients on the product packaging or near to unpacked goods

All foods and feeds sold in the European Union that contain an ingredient consisting of more than 0.9 percent of GMOs must be labelled as genetically modified, regardless of whether the GMO can be detected in the final product. If the GM content has been admixed intentionally, this must be declared on the label even if the threshold of 0.9 percent has not been exceeded.

Details on the labelling of GMOs in the EU are set in the labelling directive 1829/2003.
